Set within the hills of Brentwood’s Crestwood Hills neighborhood, this modern residence represents a thoughtful renewal following the loss of the homeowners’ previous midcentury home in the 2019 Getty Fire. Designed to honor the area’s architectural legacy while embracing contemporary living, the home is carefully integrated into its sloped site, unfolding across three tiers that maximize expansive views and strong indoor-outdoor connections.

The design emphasizes resilience and longevity, utilizing fire-resistant concrete and steel and detailing that minimizes vulnerability to future wildfires. Nearly every interior space opens directly to a terrace or deck, making outdoor living an essential extension of daily life. A central great room anchors the main level and flows seamlessly to a wraparound pool deck, while the primary suite above captures both sunrise and sunset through dual outdoor terraces. Warm natural materials soften the modernist framework, creating a refined yet welcoming retreat rooted in renewal and gathering.
