Recognized for world-class service, acclaimed cuisine, and live entertainment, Mastro's Restaurants LLC engaged KAA Design to expand and infuse new life into their luxury restaurant brand. The first flagship location to be unveiled was Mastro's Ocean Club, debuting in the recently completed, avant-garde Crystals at City Center Las Vegas. The restaurant occupies both a prime retail location and the landmark 80-foot-tall sculptural Tree House designed by renowned architect, David Rockwell.
Inspired by the structure of a crustacean shell, the interior architecture is shaped by a series of undulating wood walls and ceilings with warm and dramatic lighting emanating from within. The lowered entry portal transitions to a soaring space at the Grand Bar, the locus for activity. The theme of natural ocean elements extends to the luminescent, gem-like back bar which stretches floor to ceiling. Its colorful liquor bottles are reminiscent of a tide pool teaming with bright coral anemone and cobalt fish.
In the Mastro's tradition there are a myriad of dining options, from the center stage Tree House, bright and airy dining terrace, lively grand bar, to luxurious second floor private dining rooms. The tone is elegant and refined with neutral tones and subtle textures.
